What is the best airport to fly into Rome Italy?

Where is the Amalfi?

The distance between Rome and the Amalfi Coast is about 224 km while the road distance from Naples is about 62 km and from Salerno about 17 km.

How to get to Amalfi from Rome?
To get to Amalfi, you'll first need to catch a Trenitalia or Italo train from Roma Termini, Rome's main train station, to Napoli Centrale, the main station in Naples.

At Napoli Centrale, you can board a train for Vietri sul Mare or a train from Rome to Salerno, a station where you can catch local buses to Amalfi, Positano, Praiano, and Ravello.

An alternative is to take a high-speed train from Rome to Salerno which takes approximately 90 minutes with prices starting at around  €15 to €100. Check the times and costs here.

Train from Rome to Salerno, then take the SITA bus or a ferry (if running) from Salerno to Amalfi.

The bus takes about 45 minutes from Salerno and costs under  € 3.00.

In Salerno, there are two ports of departure: Piazza Concordia and Molo Manfredi.
Piazza Concordia is direct across from the train station where the high-speed trains arrive;
Molo Manfredi is a few kilometers away

Salerno to Amalfi is seasonal so check in advance with the ferry companies as to availability.
The ferries cost around € 9.00 and takes about 35 minutes.
The Salerno Amalfi ferry route s currently operated by 2 ferry companies. The NLG service runs up to 7 times per week with a sailing duration of around 40 minutes while the Travelmar service runs up to 11 times per day with a duration from 35 minutes.
